Stephen Achuna
Meet Stephen Achuna an 11 years old boy living in Kawangware slums together with her single mother and her other 2 siblings. Their household consist of 4 members in total this includes her single mother. Stephen’s mother is both single and unemployed in a way that she only relies on some odd jobs for her to earn a living. She is the only bread winner in this family.
Stephen is only a small boy but vulnerable in a way that he doesn’t go to school simply because her mother can’t afford to pay for him school fees They are victims of malnutrition simply because they don’t take food regularly at the same time their diet is not that so good. Stephen hopes that one day he will go back to school work hard and assist her family to move out of poverty zone. Her mother sometimes relies on borrowing.
Stephen and her family stays in a small house made out of iron sheet and to make the matter worse her mother has not been in a capacity to pay house rent for the last 2 months. Her friends usually ignore him simply because their family is poor. Stephen hopes to go back to school one day and support his family. He also yarns to become a pilot in future so as to be a better person in life.
