Lucy Nanjala is an 8 year old girl staying in Kawangware slums together with her aunt. They are 4 people in their household Lucy together with her other sisters. Her aunt is a casual laborer and working as a chef a work that does not give her enough income that can cater for all people in their house. They currently live in a small household an informal house which is in a bad condition. Finance and food are a challenge in their house something which has made Lucy to end up in a rescue center. Her aunt cannot afford money to buy for them clothes and this makes Lucy to end up walking with torn clothe. Lucy is a Grade 3 student at Gatina Prince of Peace Academy but her aunt usually lacks school fee to pay for her. Despite being send home she usually emerges among top performing students in their class. They usually lack even food to eat and this usually force her aunt to borrow or else they can sleep hungry having not eaten anything. Lucy has a future plan to become an engineer and assist her aunt and her other siblings. Her aunt doesn’t have any medical insurance cover putting their lives at risk incase of any emergency. Lucy also lacks educational resources like books, bag, shoes and uniform she only depend on those uniform that are worn out. Lucy has a good future but as things stand her future might be ruined
