Beatrice Namusisi is a 10 years old girl living in Kawangware informal settlement together with her parents and his other siblings. They have lived in Kawangware slums for many years and they now consider this place as their area of domicile. Beatrice’s family have a total of 8 members this includes her parents and her siblings. For now, both her parents are unemployed and they only depend on small they get from their odd and minor job which they does for a living. Beatrice’s mother only does odd jobs like washing clothes for other people while his father is an artesian and through all this the small, they get is the on that is spent towards household expenses. Currently Beatrice is not going to school simply because her parents cannot afford to raise school fees for her to go to school. Previously, she was going to school but tough economic and financial instability in their home has made it challenging for her to go back. At home their family also experience food scarcity and at times they are forced to take only one meal per day or sleep hungry without eating anything. Her parents also don’t have any medical insurance that can cove their family incase of any emergency. For now, they are living in a small house that is only made out of iron sheet a house that makes them vulnerable to extreme hot and cold. Beatrice was supposed to be in grade 5 but she is currently at home and she feels as if her future might be ruined if all things remains as it is. Her parents were pleading for support so that they can take Beatrice back to school.
