
ASHEL WEKESA
Ashel Wekesa is a thirteen years old boy and a first born in a family of four siblings. He currently lives in their small informal house in Kawangware together with his parents and their 3 siblings. Ashel educational life is still in a great limbo because of the extreme poverty that has strike their family. His father is a casual labourer working in some construction sites so as to get an end meat for his family. His mother doesn’t have any paid job so she usually remains at home to take care of Ashel and his sisters while their father is away to seek for work.
Ashel’s family lives in a single roomed house covered with total darkness. Electricity in their house is a miracle the only place they get to see electricity is in their neighbours’ house and his friend’s
House. His parents cannot afford money to pay their house rent as well as school fees.
The last time Ashel stepped in school was in February 2023 last year and since then he has not secured any opportunity to go back.
Ashel believes that one day he will go to school, work hard for better future. His dream is to become a physician in future.
He needs School fees support, Uniforms. Books and Food.
